Aaliyah is an adorable toddler with very special medical needs. She is a loving, compassionate child who shows interest in the well-being of other children in the medically fragile group home where she currently resides. She is usually in a happy mood and enjoys activities such as singing, dancing, skipping and playing with dolls. In spite of significant medical issues, Aaliyah demonstrates resourcefulness and a strong will to survive. She has learned to walk while constantly connected to an oxygen tank. She is learning to communicate and can speak in phrases and short sentences. Aaliyah recently started feeding therapy and requires additional physical and speech therapies to aid in her development. She also requires frequent medical treatment and will require a devoted and attentive family who is able to love her unconditionally, nurture her and ensure her many needs are met.
